Abstract

This thesis deals with the promotion of Greece abroad through the films that have been filmed in our country and to what extent the "Film tourism" may contribute to the development of our country's economy. At the beginning of the study is presentation of films which have been made to Greece and the increase in tourism at that time in the particular area that the shooting took place. Then present the films that have a Greek theme in the scenario, Greek movies and shows the important Greek actors are analyzed. Then, examples of other countries given the way they manage the "film tourism" and action taken to develop this sector. Finally, given the conclusions which emerged through the study.
