Abstract

This study aims to investigate all aspects of thalassemia which is an inherited autosomal disease, its evolution over time, to develop new methods of treatment, healing, prevention, increase survival limit, reduction of complications and the appropriate therapeutic staff which will help the patient and family to face psychological and social problems that arise. First, place a general presentation of anemia, hematopoietic system and the definition and pathogenesis of thalassemia. Describe the clinical picture and the complications posed by the disease, methods of diagnosis, treatment and preventive measures can take a patient extensively analyzed, the psychological support themselves and their families and, finally, presents the conclusions and recommendations which arose through research.
