Abstract

The subject of this final work is to highlight the role of social economy by creating a significant number of social enterprises in our country and in particular the process of setting up, organization and operation of social consumer cooperative «Bios Coop» Thessaloniki. Initially, there is a conceptual approach to the social economy condition and characteristics. Then, the situation of the social economy occurs in Europe and in Greece, the role of cooperatives is examined and in particular the social consumer cooperatives in the economy of a country and the benefits brought about and finally carried out research on the social consumer cooperative bios coop with aims to explore the practical satisfaction and expectations of consumers in times of economic crisis.
