analyses and describes the procedures, in all stages, of digitizing such material. It
presents an application of the theoretically described procedures to the University of
Macedonia Library’s collection of musical scores.

| Abstract: | Καθημερινά, ο άνθρωπος αλληλεπιδρά με έναν τεράστιο όγκο πληροφοριών
δια μέσου των μέσων μαζικής επικοινωνίας όπως η τηλεόραση και το ραδιόφωνο,
μέσω της διαπροσωπικής επικοινωνίας με άλλους ανθρώπους και με την χρήση του
διαδικτύου. Η δημιουργία του διαδικτύου στα μέσα της δεκαετίας του ‘90 και κατ’
επέκταση η δημιουργία των κοινωνικών μέσων μαζικής ενημέρωσης στις αρχές του
21ου αιώνα έχουν εισαγάγει τον άνθρωπο σε μια κοινωνία της πληροφορίας, όπου η
πληροφορία αποτελεί πολύτιμο κοινωνικό αγαθό.
Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία αφορά στην ψηφιοποίηση και εισαγωγή σε
αυτοματοποιημένο σύστημα μουσικού υλικού κειμένου (παρτιτούρες). Επιχειρείται η
ανάλυση και η περιγραφή της έννοιας και της διαδικασίας της ψηφιοποίησης σε όλα
τα στάδιά της, καθώς και η παρουσίαση ενός έργου ψηφιοποίησης που σχετίζεται με
μουσικά κείμενα (παρτιτούρες) και αναρτήθηκε στην ψηφιακή βιβλιοθήκη Ψηφίδα
του πανεπιστημίου Μακεδονίας.
