The management of a construction project is undoubtedly a complex and demanding subject but at the same time exciting and interesting. There are many challenges that one has to overcome that require a broad range of knowledge and skills in order to be managed. This thesis is about the management of a road construction project which is part of Egnatia Odos. There are being presented important elements and definitions that are related to project management with references to research, organizing, and construction issues that are being occurred in the project. A real time schedule of the project is being created using MsProject and then its process is being checked and evaluated using the certified Earned Value Analysis technique. Earned Value Analysis helps optimize crucial factors such as duration and cost of a project, factors that are greatly connected with civil engineering. Alongside, an effort is made to forecast the total cost, duration and deviations that occurred from the changes that took place in the construction phase of the project. The results of this analysis are particularly interesting for the functions and applications of the software and for the use and possibilities of the methodologies that are being practiced for the management of this project.
