The purpose of this research was to investigate whether there are benefits of music in education and in enhancing the communication skills of children with autism within a school environment. Specifically, attempts were made to answer questions through the views and personal experience of teachers concerning the contribution of music to the self-expression and communication of people with autism as well as its impact on the learning of people with autism. The survey involved a total of 34 teachers who have worked in primary and secondary education schools, 18 women and 16 men, aged 25 to 55 who had 1-20 years of working experience. Data was collected through a 28 item questionnaire. Results showed that the contribution of music to the education of children with autism is particularly important as it promotes the development of social, communicative and emotional skills
