Increasingly in recent years, international bibliography has been concerned, as is
now commonly known, with forms of tourism which contribute, in the own unique
way, to the development of destinations.
> One of these forms is Medical/Health Tourism, a common phenomenon on a
world-wide scale. Greece has tentatively entered this sector of the market.
> In this thesis/assignment, the subject of study constitutes the current environment
of Medical Tourism, the existing situation in Greece, the institutional framework,
the new general regulation( s) pertaining to personal data protection privacyGDPR-and a case study into the current situation of Medical/ Health Tourism in
Thessaloníki.
> The aim of this study is to identify the current state of Medical/Health Tourism
based on evaluations arrived at by the tourists themselves and the reasons for their
choice of Medical/ Health Tourism as a destination.
> It concerns a primary, sample based, perigraphic study. A broad sample base of
250 respondents of medical/health tourists, who had visited the university hospital
Ahepa and the Inter-Balkan hospital/clinic were surveyed in the compilation of the
results. The tools used in the compilation of the results, in this case a questionnaire,
included twenty pre-determined questions on a structured basis. With the help of
the SPSS statistics data analysis program , we codified the results

| Abstract: | Τα τελευταία χρόνια όλο και περισσότερο η διεθνής βιβλιογραφία ασχολείται με τις
ειδικές, όπως λέγονται πλέον, μορφές τουρισμού οι οποίες συμβάλλουν με το δικό
τους τρόπο στην ανάπτυξη των προορισμών.
Μια από τις βασικότερες είναι και ο ιατρικός τουρισμός, είναι ένα φαινόμενο
γνωστό και συχνό σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο.Η Ελλάδα έχει κάνει δειλά την εμφάνισή
της σε αυτό τον τομέα της αγοράς.
Στην παρούσα εργασία αντικείμενο μελέτης αποτελεί το περιβάλλον σήμερα του
ιατρικού τουρισμού η υφιστάμενη κατάσταση στην Ελλάδα , το θεσμικό πλαίσιο
αυτής, ο νεος γενικός κανονισμός για την προςτασία δεδομένων /general Data
Protection Regulation GDPR και μελέτη περίπτωσης η κατάσταση του ιατρικού
τουρισμού στην Θεσσαλονίκη.
Στόχος της μελέτης είναι να προσδιορίσει την κατάσταση του ιατρικού τουρισμού,
όπως την αξιολογούν οι ίδιοι οι τουρίστες, οι οποίοι αποφάσισαν να την επιλέξουν
ως προορισμό ιατρικού τουρισμού.
Πρόκειται για πρωτογενή, περιγραφική, δειγματοληπτική έρευνα. Για τη συλλογή
των στοιχείων χρησιμοποιήθηκε μεγάλο δείγμα ερωτηθέντων (250), οι ιατρικοί
τουρίστες των νοσοκομείων του Πανεπιστημιακού Νοσοκομείου ΑΧΕΠΑ και του
Ιατρικού Διαβαλκανικού Θεσσαλονίκης. Το εργαλείο συλλογής των στοιχείων, στη
δεδομένη περίπτωση το ερωτηματολόγιο, περιέλαβε 20 προκαθορισμένες
ερωτήσεις με δομημένο τρόπο. Με τη βοήθεια του προγράμματος στατιστικής
