Ο ρόλος των tour operators και των ταξιδιωτικών πρακτορείων στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό (Bachelor thesis)

The subject of this thesis will be the examination of the role of the tour operator as well as the sector of tourist offices and agencies in the tourist market. Initially, a more general picture of tourism is presented, followed by a detailed description of the functions and organization of incoming and outgoing travel agencies. The concept of a travel agency is analyzed as an enterprise that designs and sells services from a Tour Operator supplier, which services are related to the trip and their main product is the tourist package which includes transportation, accommodation, nutrition and recreation. In addition, a detailed account of the concept and organization of the Tour Operator is made. The section on organizing and executing tours and tours of travel agencies is then presented as the activity that is considered, not unjustly the most profitable for a travel agency. Furthermore, we analyze the pricing policies for both excursions and holiday packages and make reference to the levels of their demand in the tourist market. Finally, the thesis ends with the conclusions that come out and the bibliography used for its elaboration
