Academic libraries in Europe: Statistical information, detailed study of selected libraries, and presentation of the most interesting facts οn a website (Bachelor thesis)

The following bachelor thesis titled «Academic libraries in Europe: Statistical information, detailed study of selected libraries and presentation of the most interesting facts in a website» aims to present information about libraries in Europe and the creation of a website. In addition, the thesis highlights the academic purposes of the specific libraries that concern both professors and students. The site contains information and statistics on the universities and libraries. The visitors of the site have the opportunity to be informed about it. Reference is then made to the creation of the site for which the Word press content management system was used. Finally, the dissertation aims at creating a website that will present all the information of the most historically academic libraries of Europe, their history and their function.

| Abstract: | Η ακόλουθη πτυχιακή εργασία με τον τίτλο << Ακαδημαϊκές βιβλιοθήκες της Ευρώπης: Αναλυτικά στοιχεία ανά χώρα, παρουσίαση βιβλιοθηκών και δημιουργία ιστοσελίδας>> έχει ως σκοπό της να παρουσιάσει αναλυτικά στοιχεία για τις βιβλιοθήκες της Ευρώπης καθώς και τα σχετικά για την δημιουργία ιστοσελίδας. Επιπλέον, η πτυχιακή αυτή εργασία αναδεικνύει τους ακαδημαϊκούς σκοπούς των συγκεκριμένων βιβλιοθηκών που αφορούν τόσο στους καθηγητές όσο και στους φοιτητές. Η ιστοσελίδα περιέχει πληροφορίες και στατιστικά στοιχεία για τα πανεπιστήμια και τις βιβλιοθήκες τους. Έτσι, οι επισκέπτες της ιστοσελίδας έχουν την δυνατότητα να ενημερωθούν σχετικά. Στη συνέχεια, γίνεται αναφορά στη δημιουργία της ιστοσελίδας για την οποία χρησιμοποιήθηκε το σύστημα ανοιχτού κώδικα διαχείρισης περιεχομένου Word press. Τέλος, ,η πτυχιακή αυτή εργασία έχει ως στόχο την δημιουργία ιστοσελίδας, η οποία θα παρουσιάζει αναλυτικά όλες τις πληροφορίες των ιστορικών ακαδημαϊκών βιβλιοθηκών της Ευρώπης, σχετικά με την ιστορία τους αλλά και την λειτουργία τους.
