Τεχνολογία OLAP με εργαλεία Microsoft (Bachelor thesis)

This thesis presents and analyses OLAP technology in depth using Microsoft tools such as SQL Server and Visual Studio with Business Intelligence Server Analysis.
In the first chapter we analyze the database that host the data from the various applications and the Data Warehouse that hosts the data for the Business Intelligence analytical process
In the second chapter we analyze the OLAP technology by extracting the data from the Data Warehouse and using them to create and fill the cube. The data gets visualized through various techniques – operations to extract information.
In the third chapter we are presenting examples using Microsoft tools and we analyze the capabilities that those tools offer, to have a complete OLAP solution. We are creating Data Warehouses and processes that fill the Data Warehouses with data. Concluding we are creating and analyzing OLAP cubes fulfilling by this way the OLAP technology.

| Abstract: | Η πτυχιακή αυτή παρουσιάζει και αναλύει εις βάθος την τεχνολογία OLAP χρησιμοποιώντας εργαλεία της Microsoft όπως SQL Server και Visual Studio με Business Intelligence και Server Analysis.
Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο αναλύουμε την βάση όπου στεγάζει τα δεδομένα από τις εφαρμογές και την αποθήκη δεδομένων όπου στεγάζει τα δεδομένα για την αναλυτική επεξεργασία το Business Intelligence.
Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο αναλύουμε την τεχνολογία OLAP ανακτώντας τα δεδομένα από την Αποθήκη Δεδομένων και χρησιμοποιώντας τα για να δημιουργήσουμε και να γεμίσουμε τον κύβο. Τα δεδομένα οπτικοποιούνται στο κύβο μέσω διάφορων τεχνικών-operations για την εξαγωγή πληροφορίας.
Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζουμε παραδείγματα με την χρήση των εργαλείων της Microsoft και αναλύουμε τις δυνατότητες που μας προσφέρουν, ώστε να έχουμε μία ολοκληρωμένη λύση OLAP. Δημιουργούμε Αποθήκες δεδομένων και διαδικασίες που γεμίζουν με δεδομένα τις αποθήκες. Tέλος δημιουργούμε τους κύβους και τους αναλύουμε, ολοκληρώνοντας με αυτό τον τρόπο την τεχνολογία OLAP.
