Abstract
Oregano is well known to humanity since the ancient times. It may be cultivated in lowland, semi- mountainous and mountain areas. The quality of the Greek oregano is considered to be one of the best worldwide. It is famous for its various uses, but mostly as a spice. Oregon is eligible due to its high efficiency in essential oils. The demand in the food and pharmaceutical industry is great.
In organic cultivation the treatment of enemies and diseases is becoming even harder for the producers, as their solutions are limited in comparison to those they would have in typical cultivation. Organic farming has different practices from the conventional. The purpose of this dissertation is to analyze and explore the ways in which the enemies and diseases could be treated in organic cultivation.

| Abstract: | Περίληψη
Η ρίγανη είναι γνωστή στην ανθρωπότητα από αρχαιοτάτων χρόνων. Μπορεί να καλλιεργηθεί σε πεδινές, ημιορεινές και ορεινές περιοχές. Η ποιότητα της Ελληνικής ρίγανης θεωρείται από τις καλύτερες παγκοσμίως. Φημίζεται για τις πολλές χρήσεις και κυρίως ως καρύκευμα. Αυτό που κάνει περιζήτητη τη ρίγανη είναι οι υψηλές αποδόσεις σε αιθέριο έλαιο και η ζήτηση είναι μεγάλη στη βιομηχανία τροφίμων και τη φαρμακοβιομηχανία.
Στην βιολογική καλλιέργεια η αντιμετώπιση εχθρών και ασθενειών γίνεται ακόμα πιο δύσκολη για τους παραγωγούς για τον λόγο ότι έχουν περιορισμένες λύσεις από αυτές που θα είχαν σε μια αντίστοιχη κλασσική καλλιέργεια. Η βιολογική γεωργία έχει διαφορετική λογική σε σχέση με την συμβατική. Στην παρούσα πτυχιακή θα αναλύσουμε τους τρόπους για την αντιμετώπιση εχθρών και ασθενειών για μια επιτυχημένη βιολογική καλλιέργεια ρίγανης.
