Feed is any food which after it recruitment can be digested, assimilated and used by the organism of the animal. Feed in order to fulfill their role must contain nutrients and do not contain harmful to the animal health factors or if they contain be in quantities that do not pose a risk to animal health, and may contain inactive ingredients. Nutrients are substances involved in the metabolism of the animal. These are proteins, fats, carbohydrates and macro elements, as trace elements and vitamins contribute small amounts to the functions of the animal. The nutrients that will concern us in this work are carbohydrates and to separate the proteins structure, their biological role, the dietary sources and the influences and operations, and finally with lipids, fats and their importance in animal feed. All this information will be listed based on the discrimination feed into categories according to the volume and the content of nutrients. Finally, we will deal with the discrimination of plants in grasses and legumes, whereas as feed and indicating each feed separately, showing their content of the nutrients mentioned above, in finer detail .
