The term Internet Banking is translated into Greek as “Διαδικτυακή Τράπεζα”, but the term Electronic Banking or e-Banking is equally used. Despite the fact that there is no differentiation between the terms Internet banking and e-Banking, the one constitutes a special category of the other. More specifically, when using the term Electronic Banking (e-Banking) we mean all these services that the banks offer without their client having to go to one of their branch stores in person. According to the Hellenic Bank Association “any commercial transaction that takes place between the bank and its clients through electronic services and encourages the sale of banking services/products” is considered as electronic banking.el
