The thesis focuses on the detailed description of the technology of
Augmented Reality and the review and comparison of special software that used
in Augmented Reality applications development. Initially this technology is
analyzed by formulating its definition, the basic components of hardware that
compose a system of Augmented Reality, its implementation, the supported user
interfaces and its fields of application. Then the capabilities of some software that
used in Augmented Reality applications development are recorded separately and
then a comparison between them is carried out in order to find the most complete
in features.

| Abstract: | Η πτυχιακή εργασία επικεντρώνεται στην αναλυτική περιγραφή της
τεχνολογίας της Επαυξημένης Πραγματικότητας και στην καταγραφή και σύγκριση
των δυνατοτήτων των λογισμικών που χρησιμοποιούνται στην ανάπτυξη
εφαρμογών Επαυξημένης Πραγματικότητας. Αρχικά γίνεται η ανάλυση αυτής της
τεχνολογίας διατυπώνοντας τον ορισμό της, τα βασικά συστατικά υλικού που
συγκροτούν ένα σύστημα Επαυξημένης Πραγματικότητας, τον τρόπο υλοποίησής
της, τις υποστηριζόμενες διεπαφές χρήστη και τα πεδία εφαρμογής της. Έπειτα
καταγράφονται οι δυνατότητες ορισμένων λογισμικών ανάπτυξης εφαρμογών
Επαυξημένης Πραγματικότητας ξεχωριστά και στη συνέχεια πραγματοποιείται μια
