Mental retardation is a common disorder which is due to several factors. First of all, people with mental retardation are classified into categories which are differentiated based on specific criteria. Furthermore, one of the motor deficits that are presented to people with mental retardation is the lack of balance both of posture and movement. Therefore, we wanted to learn more information about the balance of the sample group which was selected using specific evalution scales. These scales were Berg Balance Scale and Tinetti Balance Assessment which created a complete effect in combination with a protocol treatment .Then, the purpose of the research was to study the effect of kinesiotherapy programme to people with mental retardation who were our sample as to have a better quality of life , not only in the present but also in the future . Finally, through the statistical analysis it is apparent that there is a significant statistical difference mainly in Berg Scale .This shows that there are margins for improvement for the people with mental retardation not only to avoid future falls due to imbalance but also to improve the whole posture of the body.
