As electronic repositories, are defined the digital databases, which enable free and without further limits access to scientific and research interest material online. The implementation and the support of institutional repositories comes into fruition thanks to some academic institutions or research organizations. They create a large range of accessibility in research, increase the competitive relationships, create a reduction of monopoly power of magazines and relieve bodies that support them, in financial level. Open access is considered that web access, which is free, immediate, continual and isn’t limited from fees and terms of most copyright, by providing access to academic and scientific material. Thanks to the open access that is offered through institutional repositories, the communication relationships of scientific interest are increasing . In terms of registration and processing dissertations of all parts of ATEI of Thessaloniki in the institutional repository "Eureka", which is enriched by the library staff of the ATEI of Thessaloniki, has been actualized a digitization of 220 dissertations and recording their metadata, in order to broaden the knowledge of the institution's spiritual material.
