Work accidents and occupational diseases are caused when occupational risk is not effectively addressed. Therefore, in order to reduce or to avoid the occupational risk, the basic precondition is the compliance with the rules of occupational safety. In this thesis we will deal with the measures of occupational safety that defines the legislative framework for the construction of Metro Thessaloniki’s Occupational safety means the necessary preventive and protective measures taken to ensure the physical and mental well-being of workers. These measures are taken to confrontation natural, chemical, geological, environmental and other causes identified in this thesis. Finally, various kinds of measures being taken, such as proper maintenance of machines and maintenance of marking.
