Προοπτικές ανάπτυξης ιατρικού τουρισμού στην Ελλάδα (Bachelor thesis)

Medical tourism is a rapidly developing form of alternative tourism internationally, resulting from the combination of Tourism and medical science. This paper has as its main object the Medical Tourism and consists of three sections. The main goal of this work is the analysis of the concepts associated with medical tourism in order to investigate the mode of exploitation of and contribution to broader domestic economic growth.
First and foremost, there will be a thorough study and identification of the basic concepts and issues related to health tourism, and medical tourism. Then, we studied in-depth the medical tourism and will be a reference of the main benefits and elements of, while in the third and last part will present the available data relating to the development of this form of tourism in Greece. In other words, the potential for development will be approached, the swot analysis, the target markets and the benefits to be derived will be presented. the possibilities of development and the services provided, with emphasis on rehabilitation and recovery services. The main objective of this study is on the one hand, to analyze the concepts associated with this alternative form of tourism, but also to show this phenomenon at a global and national level in order to investigate whether the proper exploitation can contribute to sustainable tourism and, more generally, economic development of a country.

| Abstract: | Ο Ιατρικός Τουρισμός αποτελεί μια ταχύτατα αναπτυσσόμενη μορφή εναλλακτικού τουρισμού διεθνώς και προκύπτει από το συνδυασμό του τουρισμού με την ιατρική επιστήμη. Η συγκεκριμένη εργασία έχει ως βασικό αντικείμενο ενασχόλησής της τον Ιατρικό Τουρισμό, και απαρτίζεται από τρεις ενότητες. Βασικός στόχος της παρούσας εργασίας αποτελεί η ανάλυση των εννοιών που συνδέονται με τον ιατρικό τουρισμό έτσι ώστε να διερευνηθεί ο τρόπος αξιοποίησής του και συμβολής του στην ευρύτερη εγχώρια οικονομική ανάπτυξη.
Πρωτίστως θα πραγματοποιηθεί μια ενδελεχής μελέτη και προσδιορισμός των των βασικών εννοιών και ζητημάτων που σχετίζονται με τον τουρισμό υγείας, αλλά και τον ιατρικό τουρισμό. Στη συνέχεια, θα μελετηθεί εις βάθος ο ιατρικός τουρισμός και θα γίνει αναφορά των βασικότερων οφελών και στοιχείων του, ενώ στο τρίτο και τελευταίο μέρος θα παρουσιαστούν τα διαθέσιμα δεδομένα που αφορούν την ανάπτυξη της συγκεκριμένης μορφής τουρισμού στην Ελλάδα. Δηλαδή, θα

προσεγγιστούν οι δυνατότητες εξέλιξης, θα παρουσιαστεί η ανάλυση swot, οι αγορές – στόχοι, αλλά και τα προσδοκόμενα οφέλη. τις δυνατότητες εξέλιξης και τις παρεχόμενες σχετικές υπηρεσίες, με έμφαση στις υπηρεσίες αποκατάστασης και αποθεραπείας. Κύριος στόχος της παρούσας μελέτης είναι αφενός να αναλύσει τις έννοιες που συνδέονται με την εναλλακτική αυτή μορφή τουρισμού, αλλά και να παρουσιάσει το φαινόμενο αυτό σε παγκόσμιο και εθνικό επίπεδο ώστε να διερευνηθεί κατά πόσο με τη σωστή αξιοποίησή του μπορεί να συμβάλει σε βιώσιμη τουριστική και γενικότερα οικονομική ανάπτυξη για μια χώρα.
