My postgraduate project is entitled as: “The student digital radio and its effects on learning” includes the theoretical part, which refers to the learning theories and their content and to the researchers’ point of view on the ways we obtain Knowledge, as well as on the factors which motivate students to learn, either internal or external. These motives affect learning. In addition, the project is about radio’s transformation from its conventional to its digital form, the content denomination of nowadays digital literacy, the correlation between the digital radio and the educational possibilities or advantages on learning. Furthermore, it is of great importance to present the researches through which various students participated in radio emissions. Such types of qualitative researches done through students’ interviews aim to demonstrate in which way, if there is any, the student digital radio is correlated to the students’ internal needs and their cognitive or professional interests. As a matter of fact, this project objects to reveal the way through which the student digital radio may become an effective educational tool, how it influences learning motives and how it can prepare students to become the citizens of “tomorrow” developing and cultivating their digital capabilities. Last but non least, through this work I am trying to excel not only radio’s historical educational value but also its advantages on learning procedures of the new digital era.
