Ο ρόλος και η εφαρμογή του εικαστικού γραμματισμού στα σχολεία δεύτερης ευκαιρίας (Master thesis)

This paper refers to an attempt to capture the contemporary reality of the teaching of visual arts in Second Chance Schools in Greece. The main objective of the study is to explore the perceptions of Managers and Educational Artists who serve and teach in Second Chance Schools about the breadth of application, importance and benefits of visual arts in adult education. The survey is descriptive, with an analysis of response rates and response averages, as appropriate. The survey results show that managers and art educators from Second Chance Schools believe that visual arts teaching can provide many and important benefits to adult learners and learners. However, the small scope of visual artistic literacy, the limitation of the subject to minimal hours, and the teaching by non-specialized teaching staff reflects a correspondingly opposite reality in relation to these beliefs. Research findings can be exploited by the General Secretariat for Lifelong Learning to improve the quality of education provided in Second Chance Schools or by future researchers in adult education in the arts.

| Abstract: | Η εργασία αυτή αναφέρεται σε μια προσπάθεια αποτύπωσης της σύγχρονης πραγματικότητας της διδασκαλίας των εικαστικών τεχνών στα Σχολεία Δεύτερης Ευκαιρίας, στην Ελλάδα. Ο κύριος στόχος της μελέτης είναι η διερεύνηση των αντιλήψεων των Διευθυντικών στελεχών και των εκπαιδευτικών εικαστικών, που υπηρετούν και διδάσκουν στα Σχολεία Δεύτερης Ευκαιρίας, σχετικά με το εύρος της εφαρμογής, τη σημαντικότητα και τα οφέλη των εικαστικών στην εκπαίδευση ενηλίκων. Η έρευνα είναι περιγραφική, με ανάλυση των ποσοστών απάντησης και των μέσων όρων απάντησης, ανάλογα με την περίπτωση. Από τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας διαπιστώνεται ότι, τα διευθυντικά στελέχη και οι εκπαιδευτικοί καλλιτεχνικών των Σχολείων Δεύτερης Ευκαιρίας θεωρούν ότι η διδασκαλία των εικαστικών τεχνών μπορεί να αποδώσει πολλά και σημαντικά οφέλη στους ενήλικους εκπαιδευόμενους και εκπαιδευόμενες. Παρά ταύτα, το μικρό πεδίο της εφαρμογής του εικαστικού γραμματισμού, ο περιορισμός του αντικειμένου σε ελάχιστες ώρες και η διδασκαλία από μη εξειδικευμένο εκπαιδευτικό προσωπικό, αποτυπώνει μια αναλόγως αντίστροφη πραγματικότητα σε σχέση με τις πεποιθήσεις αυτές. Τα ευρήματα της έρευνας μπορούν να αξιοποιηθούν από τη Γενική Γραμματεία Δια Βίου Μάθησης για τη βελτίωση της ποιότητας της παρεχόμενης εκπαίδευσης στα Σχολεία Δεύτερης Ευκαιρίας ή από μελλοντικούς ερευνητές της εκπαίδευσης ενηλίκων στις τέχνες.
