Μουσεία & Social Media: H περίπτωση πέντε μουσείων της Θεσσαλονίκης σε σχέση με το Tripadvisor. (Master thesis)

Βαλασιάδου, Σοφία

The present thesis is an attempt to approach the meaning of Museums and especially which is their role in modern times, what purpose they have, what changes they have experienced and to what public they are addressing to. At the same time, however, Museums are also associated with tourism in the context of cultural tourism which has been particularly developed in recent years and which contributes significantly to the economy of the country. In detail, we will examine how the museums, that will concern us from Thessaloniki, were selected and what are these. There is an extensive presentation, along with photographic material and information, gathered by the researcher herself from visits. Wanting to see what the museums have for themselves and how they approach and attract their visitors, interviews were conducted with competent executives in each of them. Continuing, we noticed, through the social media and specifically from TripAdvisor, the image they give and what impressions have those who visited. In conclusion, having presented both sides and within the framework conducted by the researcher herself , she gives her opinion and what she has gained from this thesis.
