Αξιολόγηση προγραμμάτων σπουδών μαθηματικών Γυμνασίου: Η περίπτωση της Γεωμετρίας (Master thesis)

The purpose of this paper is to investigate, study, analyse and evaluate the curriculum of
mathematics, with a focus on the field of Geometry, as a teaching subject. To achieve the
purpose of the survey, content analysis of the greek curriculum, the teaching instructions sent to
the teachers and the school books of the Gymnasium was carried out in order to investigate the
clarity of the aims and goals, the compatibility and adequacy of the individual parameters with a
view to student learning in the Gymnasium. Moreover, the study has attempted to highlight the
potential problems associated with the teaching of Geometry and for this reason, the research
process includes a small number of semi-structured interviews with teachers of Mathematics in
the region of Serres, in order to further explore the question under investigation and to provide
an opportunity for an extra perspective in the conclusions drawn from the content analysis. At
the same time, in the context of the study, a literature review was carried out to highlight the
importance of teaching Mathematics, and especially Geometry, in Gymnasium as well as the
attitude of students towards it, while also presenting curricula existing in other countries.
According to the results of the content analysis there seem to be problems and shortcomings in
terms of the Geometry teaching, which are also identified by the teachers during the interviews.
Given the importance and pedagogical value of this subject in modern Greek schools, it is
proposed to further explore the issue in the context of another research.

| Abstract: | Σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας είναι να ερευνήσει, να μελετήσει, να αναλύσει και να
αξιολογήσει το Αναλυτικό Πρόγραμμα Σπουδών των Μαθηματικών Γυμνασίου και ειδικότερα
του τομέα της Γεωμετρίας, όπως αυτός εντάσσεται στη διδασκαλία του συγκεκριμένου
γνωστικού αντικειμένου. Για τους σκοπούς της έρευνας, διενεργήθηκε ανάλυση περιεχομένου
του Α.Π.Σ., των Οδηγιών που αποστέλλονται στους εκπαιδευτικούς για τη διδασκαλία του
αντικειμένου καθώς και των σχολικών βιβλίων του Γυμνασίου προκειμένου να διερευνηθεί η
σαφήνεια των σκοπών και στόχων, η συμβατότητα των επιμέρους παραμέτρων μεταξύ τους και
η επάρκεια των οριζόμενων για την μάθηση των μαθητών και μαθητριών του Γυμνασίου.
Επιχειρήθηκε επίσης να αναδειχθούν τα πιθανά προβλήματα που συνδέονται με τη διδασκαλία
της Γεωμετρίας. Η ερευνητική διαδικασία περιλαμβάνει επίσης έναν μικρό αριθμό
ημιδομημένων συνεντεύξεων με καθηγητές των Μαθηματικών του νομού Σερρών, προκειμένου
να διερευνηθεί περαιτέρω το υπό έρευνα ζήτημα και να δοθεί η ευκαιρία για μια επιπλέον
προοπτική στα συμπεράσματα από την ανάλυση περιεχομένου. Ταυτόχρονα, στο πλαίσιο της
εργασίας, γίνεται ανασκόπηση στη βιβλιογραφία για να αναδειχθεί η σημασία της διδασκαλίας
των Μαθηματικών, και ιδιαίτερα της Γεωμετρίας, στο Γυμνάσιο και η σχέση των μαθητών και
μαθητριών με αυτή, ενώ γίνεται επίσης συνοπτική αναφορά στα Προγράμματα Σπουδών σε
άλλες χώρες.
Από την επεξεργασία των δεδομένων της ανάλυσης περιεχομένου αναδεικνύονται προβλήματα
και ελλείματα όσον αφορά τα οριζόμενα για τη διδασκαλία της Γεωμετρίας, στοιχεία που
εντοπίζονται και από τους εκπαιδευτικούς κατά τις συνεντεύξεις που διενεργήθηκαν. Δεδομένης
της σημασίας και της παιδαγωγικής αξίας του μαθήματος αυτού στο σύγχρονο Ελληνικό
σχολείο, προτείνεται περαιτέρω διερεύνηση του θέματος στο πλαίσιο άλλης έρευνας.
