The subject of my thesis is corporate governance on the Athens stock exchange. in particular, the oil-gas industry will be analyzed, mentioning its importance, as well as a comparison of three companies of this industry will be apposed. This apposition is about deviations from the corporate governance code.
The purpose of my thesis through this comparison is to clarify which of these three companies explain their possible deviation from the code in a clear way. Furthermore, we will discover the importance of corporate governance and the adoption of best practices.
Corporate governance is the way companies are managed and controlled.

| Abstract: | Το θέμα της εργασίας μου είναι η εταιρική διακυβέρνηση στο χρηματιστήριο αξιών Αθηνών. Ειδικότερα θα αναλυθεί ο κλάδος πετρελαίου-αερίου, αναφέροντας την σημασία του, καθώς επίσης θα παρατεθεί η σύγκριση τριών εταιρειών αυτού του κλάδου για τις αποκλίσεις που έχουν από τον κώδικα εταιρικής διακυβέρνησης του 2013.
Σκοπός της εργασίας είναι μέσα από την σύγκριση αυτή να διευκρινίσουμε ποιες από τις τρείς αυτές εταιρείες εξηγούν με σαφή τρόπο την τυχόν απόκλιση τους από τον κώδικα. Ακόμη, να ανακαλύψουμε την σημασία της εταιρικής διακυβέρνησης και την υιοθέτηση βέλτιστων πρακτικών.
Εταιρική διακυβέρνηση είναι ο τρόπος με τον οποίο διοικούνται και ελέγχονται οι εταιρείες.
