Ο ρόλος του διευθυντή σχολικής μονάδας στη διαμόρφωση κλίματος συνεργασίας με τους γονείς (Master thesis)

The postgraduate research which is titled The role of the School Unit Principal in developing a climate of co-operation with parents aims at exploring the practices used by primary school principals in Greece to encourage parents' involvement and examine whether there exist differences in these practices based on the gender of the principal, the level of his / her degree level and the years of his / her stay in a managerial position. A literature review was carried out for the study, followed by a survey with the sending of electronic questionnaires to the Directors of primary schools of Preveza, Arta and Aitoloakarnania and the analysis of these data on a quantitative and interpretative level. The survey revealed that the principals communicate with parents about their involvement in school activities, but they are negative to the active engagement of parents on issues related to school management. In addition, the results show that in some cases gender, level of degree, and years in managerial position by principals influence the way and the frequency of parental involvement.

| Abstract: | Η μεταπτυχιακή εργασία με τίτλο O ρόλος του Διευθυντή Σχολικής Μονάδας στη διαμόρφωση κλίματος συνεργασίας με τους γονείς έχει ως σκοπό της την εξερεύνηση των πρακτικών που χρησιμοποιούν οι διευθυντές πρωτοβάθμιων σχολικών μονάδων στην Ελλάδα ώστε να ενθαρρύνουν την εμπλοκή των γονέων σε αυτές, και να εξετασθεί αν υπάρχουν διαφορές στις πρακτικές αυτές που να βασίζονται στο φύλο του διευθυντή, το επίπεδο ακαδημαϊκής του κατάρτισης καθώς και τα χρόνια παραμονής του σε διευθυντική θέση.
Για τη μελέτη του θέματος πραγματοποιήθηκε βιβλιογραφική επισκόπηση, ακολούθησε η πραγματοποίηση έρευνας με την αποστολή ηλεκτρονικών ερωτηματολογίων στους Διευθυντές δημοτικών σχολείων των νομών Πρεβέζης, Άρτας και Αιτωλοακαρνανίας και ανάλυση των δεδομένων αυτών σε ποσοτικό και ερμηνευτικό επίπεδο.
Η έρευνα αποκάλυψε ότι οι διευθυντές επικοινωνούν σε ικανοποιητικό βαθμό με τους γονείς για την εμπλοκή τους σε δραστηριότητες του σχολείου που μετέχουν τα παιδιά τους, αλλά καταφάνηκε επιπλέον και η αρνητική τους στάση στην ενεργή εμπλοκή των γονέων σε θέματα που αφορούν τη διοίκηση της σχολικής μονάδας. Επιπλέον τα αποτελέσματα καταδεικνύουν ότι σε κάποιες περιπτώσεις το φύλο , το επίπεδο εκπαίδευσης καθώς και τα χρόνια υπηρεσίας σε διευθυντική θέση επηρεάζουν τον τρόπο αλλά και τη συχνότητα εμπλοκής των γονέων από τους διευθυντές.
