In modern times, there has been a need for a holistic approach to disability as well as the interconnection of policies to tackle discrimination and to ensure social protection. The international and national disability movements act for the most part to play a decisive role in defining this new approach which has as its main objective the human, the rights, the needs, the desires and the expectations that is feasible to have.
Accessibility is an important issue of modern times, since many impeded people lack the goods enjoyed by our well-meaning and non-mobile fellow human beings. The state is vital to play a key role and to offer all abilities and opportunities to all people. This is also the main reason why accessibility, which guarantees unimpeded and independent traffic, is extremely important and useful.
In our country, we still need to implement and comply with accessibility rules, infrastructure and ongoing contact with the civil society of people with disabilities, as well as with all citizens who have knowledge of specific issues within a city. If our country managed to get good accessibility services, this would greatly enhance the psychology of these people due to accessibility, economic development and growth, tourism development as well as other equally important areas such as technology.

| Abstract: | Στη σύγχρονη εποχή έχει αναδειχθεί η ανάγκη της ολιστικής προσέγγισης της αναπηρίας καθώς επίσης και της διασύνδεσης πολιτικών αντιμετώπισης διακρίσεων αλλά και εξασφάλισης της κοινωνικής προστασίας. Το διεθνές και το εθνικό αναπηρικό κίνημα ενεργεί εστιάζοντας ως επί το πλείστον για να παίξει καθοριστικό ρόλο στην οριοθέτηση της καινούριας αυτής προσέγγισης η οποία έχει σαν βασικότερό της στόχο τον άνθρωπο, τα δικαιώματά του, τις ανάγκες του, τις επιθυμίες του καθώς επίσης και της προσδοκίες που είναι εφικτό να έχει.
Η προσβασιμότητα αποτελεί ένα σημαντικό ζήτημα της σύγχρονης εποχής, μιας και αρκετοί εμποδιζόμενοι άνθρωποι στερούνται των αγαθών που απολαμβάνουν οι αρτιμελείς και δίχως κινητικά ζητήματα συνάνθρωποί μας. Η Πολιτεία είναι ζωτικής σημασίας να παίξει καθοριστικό ρόλο και να προσφέρει όλες τις ικανότητες και τις ευκαιρίες σε όλους τους ανθρώπους. Αυτός είναι και ο βασικότερος λόγος που η προσβασιμότητα, η οποία εγγυάται την ανεμπόδιστη και μη εξαρτώμενη κυκλοφορία, είναι εξαιρετικά σημαντική και χρήσιμη.
Στη χώρα μας ακόμα απαιτείται εφαρμογή και τήρηση των κανόνων προσβασιμότητας, υποδομές και συνεχή επαφή με την κοινωνία πολιτών των ΑμεΑ, αλλά και με όλους τους πολίτες οι οποίοι έχουν γνώση των συγκεκριμένων ζητημάτων μέσα σε μια πόλη. Σε περίπτωση που η χώρα μας κατόρθωνε να αποκτήσει καλές υπηρεσίες προσβασιμότητας, αυτό θα ενίσχυε σημαντικά την ψυχολογία των ανθρώπων αυτών εξαιτίας προσβασιμότητας, την οικονομική εξέλιξη και μεγέθυνση, την τουριστική ανάπτυξη καθώς επίσης και άλλους εξίσου σημαντικούς τομείς όπως για παράδειγμα της τεχνολογίας.
