| heal.abstract | Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία φιλοδοξεί να εξετάσει το ζήτημα του προσφυγικού και το πώς οι διάφορες πτυχές του επηρέασαν τον τουρισμό στο νησί της Λέσβου, ώστε να καταλήξουμε σε μια σαφή και ξεκάθαρη πρόταση για την τουριστική ανάπτυξη του νησιού πέραν αυτής της κρίσιμης καμπής. Οι τρεις θεματικοί άξονές της είναι το προσφυγικό ζήτημα ιδωμένου ως κρίση, ο τουρισμός και η επικοινωνία/ επικοινωνιακή διαχείριση της κρίσης στον τουρισμό. Κοινός παρονομαστής όλων είναι η γεωγραφική εστίαση, δηλαδή το νησί της Λέσβου. Διεξήχθη, λοιπόν, ποιοτική έρευνα με εργαλείο τη συνέντευξη και την ομάδα εστίασης με σκόπιμη δειγματοληψία σε 13 ειδικούς σε κάθε έναν από τους προαναφερθέντες άξονες. Η ανάλυση έδειξε τα εξής αποτελέσματα. Παρά τις όποιες προσπάθειες, δεν υπήρξε, κατά γενική ομολογία, πραγματική διαχείριση της κρίσης, πόσο μάλλον επικοινωνιακή της διαχείριση. Δεν υπήρξε κοινή κατευθυντήρια και ο DMO του νησιού ως προορισμού λειτουργεί μόνο κατ’ όνομα. Υπάρχουν πάγια προβλήματα στον τουρισμό που επιδείνωσε η προσφυγική κρίση και συντηρούν τα συγκρουόμενα μικροσυμφέροντα τοπικών και περιφερειακών δυνάμεων. Τέλος, προτάθηκε η εφαρμογή του μοντέλου του ευφυούς τουρισμού (Αβδημιώτης, 2016) κατά το αντίστοιχο πρότυπο που εφαρμόστηκε στη Χαλκιδική. | el |
| heal.abstract | This dissertation aspires to examine the refugee crisis and how its various manifestations had an impact on tourism on the island of Lesvos. We aim to make a clear and tangible proposition in order to restore tourism growth beyond this turning point. It consists of three major subject areas: the refugee crisis at the Aegean front, tourism and communication/ crisis management and communication in tourism. Their common denominator is their geographic focus on the island of Lesvos. Thus, we conducted a qualitative research using interviews and focus groups with purposeful sampling and a sample of 13 specialists on the aforementioned major subject areas. Our analysis showed that despite some efforts there was no crisis management whatsoever, and, as a result, there was no crisis communication. No certain strategy was implemented and the island’s DMO was not just inactive, but present in name only. There are stagnant issues and constant problems which were aggravated by the refugee crisis and are maintained by the conflicting local and regional interests. Finally, we proposed the implementation of the smart tourism model (Avdimiotis, 2016) on the island of Lesvos, according to the existing implemented model of Chalikidiki. | en |
