Biological agriculture is a management system of agriculture utilization, in which cultural and friendly- to-the-environment practices are put in place, the external influxes related to agrochemicals and non-renewable natural resources are reduced, high-quality production is achieved and the sustainable development of this utilization is promoted; this kind of sustainable development responds to our present needs, although next generations do not endanger the insurance of their own future ones. The basic objectives of biological agriculture are summarized in: • the recycling of the nutrients in agro-ecosystem • the avoidance of effluents • the protection of environmental • the reduction of external inputs for non –renewable natural resources • the financial management of non-renewable natural resources, and • the improvement of soil fertility evermore. Despite these advantages above, biological agriculture has some serious drawbacks, such as: • the reductive production compared to conventional grow products. As a result, the selling price of these products will be maintained in high levels and, therefore, the preference of the consumers will be slight. • the unattractive appearance of products, and • the curative vulnerability to certain diseases, in case of an epidemic.
