Φιλοπεριβαλλοντικές πρακτικές στην γεωργία (Bachelor thesis)

In the current thesis, there are presented some environmental issues, which affect a wide
range of the ecosystems, including the quality of the water, the air, the soil, the pollination
of plants, the nutrient circles. Continuing, there is an overview of cultivation systems, with
main accent to practices that are friendly towards the people, the environment and the
organisms and prime aim the restoration of the damage that has been done. The practices
that will be presented are just some of the many that could be applied in different range
systems, concerning both small-scale and large-scale producers. The choice of the
practices was done according to their success levels, which have been observed in
productive crops. Our target is to present a “greener” agriculture and practices – “tools” in
the hands of farmers, maintaining the yield undiminished or even increased, with as less as
possible environmental footprint.

| Abstract: | Στην παρούσα εργασία παρουσιάζονται ορισμένα περιβαλλοντικά προβλήματα, τα οποία
επηρεάζουν ένα ευρύ φάσμα των οικοσυστημάτων, συμπεριλαμβανομένου της ποιότητας
νερού, του αέρα, του εδάφους, την επικονίαση των φυτών, τους κύκλους των θρεπτικών
στοιχείων. Στην συνέχεια θα αναφερθούν καλλιεργητικά συστήματα, με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση
σε φιλικές πρακτικές εφαρμογές ως προς τον άνθρωπο, το περιβάλλον και τους
οργανισμούς, με κύριο στόχο την αποκατάσταση της ζημιάς που δημιουργήθηκε. Οι
πρακτικές που θα παρουσιαστούν είναι κάποιες από τις πολυάριθμες που θα μπορούσαν να
εφαρμοστούν σε συστήματα με διαφορετικές κλίμακες, απευθυνόμενες σε μικρούς αλλά
και μεγάλους παραγωγούς. Η επιλογή τους, έγινε με βάση τα επίπεδα επιτυχίας αυτών, που
έχουν παρατηρηθεί σε καλλιέργειες παραγωγικού χαρακτήρα. Στόχος μας είναι να
παρουσιάσουμε μια γεωργία με μία πιο πράσινη κατεύθυνση και πρακτικές “εργαλεία”
στα χέρια των αγροτών, διατηρώντας αμείωτα τα επίπεδα απόδοσης των καλλιεργειών ή
ακόμη και αυξάνοντας τα με όσο γίνεται μικρότερη επιβάρυνση του περιβάλλοντος.
