The issue of online education has, in recent years, been a matter of concern to the scientific community in a variety of ways as it relates to and influences educational institutions at a global level. The digital form of education is closely intertwined with the characteristic of distance and non-commitment. Thus, distance learning refers to the various educational activities through which the student, while at a geographical distance from the source of knowledge, has the ability, through new technologies and systems, to have access to educational material and thus to be able to to expand his knowledge.
This document to focus on the topic of online learning and is particularly targeted at mass-open online courses (MOOCS). This is achieved through secondary sources, ie through scientific articles and books that thoroughly analyze the online education as well as through the primary research that took place through the interview method which was conducted in three (3) persons who have attended during the of their lives, massively open online courses (MOOCS).

| Abstract: | Το ζήτημα της διαδικτυακής εκπαίδευσης, έχει απασχολήσει ιδιαίτερα τα τελευταία χρόνια, τον επιστημονικό κλάδο με ποικίλους τρόπους καθώς αναφέρεται αλλά και επηρεάζει τα εκπαιδευτικά ιδρύματα σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο. Η ψηφιακή μορφή της εκπαίδευσης είναι στενά συνυφασμένη με το χαρακτηριστικό της απόστασης και της μη δέσμευσης. Έτσι, η εκπαίδευσης από απόσταση, αναφέρεται στις διάφορες εκπαιδευτικές δραστηριότητες μέσω των οποίων ο σπουδαστής ενώ βρίσκεται σε μία γεωγραφική απόσταση από την πηγή της γνώσης, έχει την δυνατότητα μέσω νέων τεχνολογιών και συστημάτων, να έχει πρόσβαση σε εκπαιδευτικό υλικό και κατ’ επέκταση να μπορεί να διευρύνει τις γνώσεις του.
Η παρούσα πτυχιακή εργασία, επιχειρεί να εντρυφήσει στο θέμα της διαδικτυακής εκπαίδευσης και στοχεύει ιδιαίτερα στα συστήματα μαζικών ανοικτών διαδικτυακών μαθημάτων (MOOCS). Αυτό επιτυγχάνεται μέσω δευτερογενών πηγών δηλαδή, μέσω επιστημονικών άρθρων αλλά και βιβλίων που αναλύουν ενδελεχώς την διαδικτυακή εκπαίδευση αλλά και μέσω της πρωτογενής έρευνας η οποία έλαβε χώρα με την μέθοδο της συνέντευξης η οποία πραγματοποιήθηκε σε τρία (3) άτομα τα οποία έχουν παρακολουθήσει κατά την διάρκεια της ζωής τους, μαζικά ανοιχτά διαδικτυακά μαθήματα (MOOCS).
