The birth of infant and its upbringing brings on responsibilities and
obligations. It requires patience, persistence and love to raise and equip it with all the
necessary tools to become a complete person. In order to achieve this, it requires
sacrifices and strength because it completely alters the family routine, especially
mother’s. That does not mean it is not rewarding. The birth of a child offers
happiness, love, joy and excitement in the family while completing it.
This thesis is focused on labor and the woman’s contribution in it. It revolves
around the changes of her body, her diet and the way of life. She must follow during
this period but also after the birth us well.
Hereby are listed the physical changes that the woman experiences during
labor, the changes in her diet and routine, the problems that occur before and after
birth and the ways to counter them. It expands on the psychological and emotional
effects that she is faced with because of the hormonal changes and how they affect
herself and the newborn. Furthermore, is stated the involvement of aesthetic and
cosmetology and it is contribution in the improvement of the pregnant’s mood, before
and after labor
