The spread of the applications of modern information technology is an important factor in shaping the tourism product.
The complexity and standardization of production processes travel in connection with the complex structure of the tourism industry, contributed greatly to the creation and development of various reservation systems.
Unchained from the above sociological symbolism, tourism product distribution channels are an essential communication median for airlines and the customer and as an actual communication channel of the tourism industry contribute to tourism development and structure of the economy.
The purpose of this paper is to highlight the role of Amadeus as a technology whose distribution and IT solutions allow the interconnection of all elements of tourism, thus providing an efficient business system users and unique tourist services to end users - tourists. Then we will study the company profile as well as the position of Amadeus in Greece.
