The development of ICT has played a key role in making all types of data visual (visualization). The term visualization is used to generally refer to the use of optical media to make a subject more elaborate. We can transform figures into static or dynamic two- or three-dimensional images. This is especially useful for teaching a variety of subjects such as maths (graphs), special lessons (environmental education), geography (maps, atlases), history (historical maps, atlases) and so on.
The present paper deals with an educational design in the teaching subject of Primary Geography. Geography is a comprehensive curriculum for studying a variety of topics. This lesson can be made more effective and permanent through the use of innovative tools that will increase the chances of correctly observing and acquiring knowledge into the classroom. One of these tools is information. This study demonstrates the use of Infographics, an innovative visual tool that is transformed into a reliable teaching tool in the classroom. Through visualization we present and narrate at the same time Europe's largest mountain ranges, doing a journey of images and words. Through an innovative visual tool, we will investigate the use of Infographics as a new instructional guide in the classroom. Infographics provide the reader with pleasant and comprehensible information by combining data with graphics. Infographics is a way of presenting information, which through visualization, narrates the event (information and data) with images and words in order to understand it faster and better. It is an educational best practice that encourages students to practice their digital skills required in a digital visual representation. This alternative idea includes a map, a bar chart with the highest mountain ranges and important information, which introduces students to the basic geophysical characteristics of Europe's mountain ranges. The innovation here is precisely the visual representation of knowledge through an alternative way of studying and evaluating it, enabling children to approach and compare data with one another.

| Abstract: | Η ανάπτυξη των ΤΠΕ συνέβαλε καταλυτικά στο να μπορούν να αναπαραστούν όλα τα ειδή των δεδομένων οπτικά (οπτικοποίηση). Ο όρος οπτικοποίηση αναφέρεται για να αποδώσει γενικά τη χρήση οπτικών μέσων ώστε να καταστεί πιο εύγλωττο ένα θέμα. Μπορούμε δηλαδή να μετασχηματίσουμε αριθμητικά δεδομένα σε στατικές ή δυναμικές εικόνες δύο ή τριών διαστάσεων. Αυτό είναι ιδιαίτερα ωφέλιμο για τη διδασκαλία πληθώρας μαθημάτων όπως είναι τα μαθηματικά (γραφικές παραστάσεις), ειδικά μαθήματα (περιβαλλοντική εκπαίδευση), η γεωγραφία (χάρτες, άτλαντες), η ιστορία (ιστορικοί χάρτες, άτλαντες) κοκ.
Η παρούσα εργασία πραγματεύεται έναν εκπαιδευτικό σχεδιασμό στο διδακτικό αντικείμενο της Γεωγραφίας της Στ’ Δημοτικού. Η Γεωγραφία αποτελεί ένα ολοκληρωμένο διδακτικό αντικείμενο για μελέτη πληθώρας θεμάτων. Το συγκεκριμένο μάθημα μπορεί να καταστεί περισσότερο αποτελεσματικό και μόνιμο μέσα από τη χρήση καινοτόμων εργαλείων, τα οποία θα αυξήσουν τις πιθανότητες σωστής παρατήρησης και κατάκτησης της γνώσης μέσα στη τάξη. Ένα από αυτά τα εργαλεία είναι τα πληροφοριακά στοιχεία. Στα πλαίσια της παρούσας μελέτης παρουσιάζεται η χρήση των Infographics (Πληροφοριακά Γραφήματα), ένα πρωτοποριακό οπτικό εργαλείο, το οποίο μετατρέπεται σε ένα αξιόπιστο διδακτικό εργαλείο – οδηγό μέσα στη τάξη. Μέσω της οπτικοποίησης παρουσιάζουμε και αφηγούμαστε ταυτόχρονα τις μεγαλύτερες οροσειρές της Ευρώπης, κάνοντας ένα ταξίδι με εικόνες και λέξεις. Μέσα από ένα πρωτοποριακό οπτικό εργαλείο, θα εξετάσουμε τη χρήση των Infographics (πληροφοριακά γραφήματα), ως νέο εκπαιδευτικό οδηγό μέσα στη τάξη. Τα Infographics παρέχουν στον αναγνώστη ευχάριστη και κατανοητή ενημέρωση συνδυάζοντας δεδομένα με γραφική απεικόνιση. Τα Infographics είναι ένας τρόπος παρουσίασης της πληροφορίας, ο οποίος μέσω της οπτικοποίησης, αφηγείται το γεγονός (πληροφορίες και δεδομένα) με εικόνες και λέξεις με στόχο τη συντομότερη και καλύτερη κατανόησή του. Πρόκειται για μια βέλτιστη εκπαιδευτική πρακτική, η οποία ενθαρρύνει τους μαθητές να ασκήσουν τις ψηφιακές τους ικανότητες, που απαιτούνται σε μια ψηφιακή οπτική αναπαράσταση. Η εναλλακτική αυτή ιδέα περιλαμβάνει χάρτη, ραβδόγραμμα με τις υψηλότερες οροσειρές και σημαντικές πληροφορίες, οι οποίες εισάγουν τους μαθητές στα βασικά γεωφυσικά χαρακτηριστικά των οροσειρών της Ευρώπης. Η καινοτομία εδώ έγκειται ακριβώς στην οπτική αναπαράσταση της γνώσης μέσα από έναν εναλλακτικό τρόπο μελέτης και αξιολόγησής της, δίνοντας τη δυνατότητα στα παιδιά να προσεγγίσουν και να συγκρίνουν τα δεδομένα μεταξύ τους.
