In an era when appearance is of central importance, it is the aesthetician’s and more specifically, the makeup artist’s duty to make women feel more comfortable and happy with the way they look in any acceptable way. Therefore, make up is one of the ways of supporting women’s beauty and it also has a positive effect on the psychology and self-confidence on woman that use it. The present dissertation aims at analyzing the field of makeup which is known as an art from ancient times and, of course is still used today. Moreover, the current trends will be analyzed along with the effects of makeup products on the human skin in relation to various techniques used to maintain up spotless.
