The aim of this thesis focuses on the study of the cultivation and growth of tomato plant and eventually the evaluation of the grown tomatoes. At the first part of the thesis is made an introduction to the history of the tomato plant and the morphological characteristics and growth conditions of the plant are mentioned. Also, are mentioned the requirements of the plant, the diseases that are most likely to affect it and the ways they can be treated. At the second part of the thesis, the performed experiments are presented and the experimental procedure that has been followed is described. The experiments were performed according to the ecological system Theofrastos and lasted four months, from 01/04/2019 to 01/07/2019. The tomato hybrids that have been used were from the varieties ALMA, OPTIMA and MERIDIAN. The purpose of the experimental procedure was to evaluate the three tomato hybrids that have been grown in the greenhouse of the International Hellenic University.
