The current work is developed on web design and applications. There is presented a study on the wide range of theories and technologies developed for the successful creation of a website or application. More particularly, it relates in the theory of colors and how they affect web users. Then, there is made a sufficient analysis of design principles and especially, usability, functionality and responsive design. For a better understanding of the above theories, of course, is given a taste of web examples by various categories. Finally, there are refered the most important technologies in use today for website’s development.

| Abstract: | Η τρέχουσα εργασία αναπτύχθηκε με θέμα τον σχεδιασμό ιστοσελίδων και εφαρμογών. Παρουσιάζεται μια μελέτη πάνω στο ευρύ φάσμα των θεωριών και τεχνολογιών, που έχουν αναπτυχθεί για την επιτυχή δημιουργία μιας ιστοσελίδας ή διαδικτυακτής εφαρμογής. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, αναφέρεται αναλυτικά η θεωρία χρωμάτων και πως αυτά επηρεάζουν τους χρήστες. Στη συνέχεια, γίνεται μια επαρκής ανάλυση των αρχών σχεδίασης και ειδικότερα της ευχρηστίας, της λειτουργικότητας και του ανταποκρινόμενου σχεδιασμού. Για την καλύτερη κατανόηση βέβαια, των παραπάνω θεωριών, δίνεται μια γεύση από παραδείγματα ιστοσελίδων από διάφορες κατηγορίες. Τέλος, αναφέρονται οι πιο σημαντικές τεχνολογίες, που χρησιμοποιούνται σήμερα για την ανάπτυξη ιστοσελίδων. The current work is developed on web design and applications.
