Τα ηλεκτρονικά βιβλία και η εφαρμογή τους στο χώρο της εκπαίδευσης (Bachelor thesis)

The following study is related with the digitalized form of printed books as well as their applicability in school environments. In particular, reference is made to: the course of printed book up to now, starting from the very first typographical efforts to the innumerable production of books, the role played nowadays, especially at school units, and the way in which it has become a part of our daily routine in various electronic forms with various functions. Special reference is made to ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) which can give a different dimension to teaching processes and feedback the existing educational system. Worthy of mention are teaching models and learning theories that form the basis of every design of educational processes, and which shall adapt to possible new digital learning data. Through a path of conceptualization of the electronic book, its features, software and capabilities, as well as, the perspective of countries that have taken steps to pilot applications of electronic books in education, expectations arising from such an innovation are examined as also its possible effects. The functionality that electronic books present in school environments, indicates to their feasible integration into learning processes. Last but not least, a detailed proposal is made for the possible and future implementation of electronic reading in educational institutions.

| Abstract: | Η παρακάτω μελέτη αφορά την ψηφιοποιημένη μορφή των έντυπων βιβλίων και την δυνατότητα εφαρμογής τους στα σχολικά περιβάλλοντα. Συγκεκριμένα, γίνεται αναφορά στην μέχρι τώρα πορεία του έντυπου βιβλίου, ξεκινώντας από τις πρώτες τυπογραφικές προσπάθειες έως και την αναρίθμητη παραγωγή βιβλίων, στον ρόλο που διαδραματίζει στη σημερινή εποχή κυρίως στις σχολικές μονάδες, και στον τρόπο με τον οποίο έχει ενταχθεί στην καθημερινότητα μας σε διάφορες ηλεκτρονικές μορφές με διάφορες λειτουργίες. Ειδική αναφορά γίνεται στις ΤΠΕ ( Τεχνολογίες Πληροφορικής και Επικοινωνίας) οι οποίες μπορούν να δώσουν μία διαφορετική διάσταση στις διδακτικές διαδικασίες και να ανατροφοδοτήσουν το υπάρχον εκπαιδευτικό σύστημα. Άξια αναφοράς είναι τα διδακτικά μοντέλα και οι θεωρίες μάθησης τα οποία αποτελούν βάση κάθε σχεδιασμού των εκπαιδευτικών διαδικασιών και τα οποία καλούνται να αναπροσαρμοστούν σε πιθανά νέα δεδομένα ψηφιακής μάθησης. Μέσα από μία διαδρομή εννοιολογικής πλαισίωσης του ηλεκτρονικού βιβλίου, των χαρακτηριστικών, των λογισμικών και των δυνατοτήτων που προσφέρει ,καθώς, και μέσα από την σκοπιά χωρών που έχουν προχωρήσει σε πιλοτικές εφαρμογές των e-book στην εκπαίδευση, εξετάζονται οι προσδοκίες που προκύπτουν μέσα από μία τέτοια καινοτομία αλλά και οι πιθανές επιπτώσεις της. Η λειτουργικότητα που δύνανται να παρουσιάσουν τα ηλεκτρονικά βιβλία στα σχολικά περιβάλλοντα, υποδεικνύει την εφικτή τους ενσωμάτωση στις διαδικασίες μάθησης. Τέλος, γίνεται μία διεξοδική πρόταση για την πιθανή και μελλοντική εφαρμογή των ηλεκτρονικών αναγνωσμάτων στα εκπαιδευτικά ιδρύματα.
