The reason for this work is the organic cultivation of the Kiwi plant, especially in the Prefecture of Arta, the growing production of kiwi in Greece and its presence in the Greek market, especially of all organic fruits and vegetables during last decade. For a better presentation, this work is divided into five (5) chapters. In the first chapter the whole organic farming, its terms and conditions are examined, the legislative
framework and its links to the European legislation are presented. The second chapter deals with organic farming and its application to the kiwi plant in
general, as well as to its cultivation. We analyze nutrients, multiplication ways, the separation based on the color of the flesh of the fruits, the required climatic and soil conditions as well as the necessary lubrication to be applied. At the end of this chapter,
the main enemies of kiwi are presented and the recommended ways to treat them. In the third chapter τhe administrative and agro-economic situation of the Arta Prefecture is investigated as for the Demarcation, Ecological Characteristics and Administration Division - Geographical distribution of kiwi cultivation. Furthermore, statistics on cultivated soils to the entire Prefecture of Arta are presented. The fourth chapter deals with the installation and production costs of organic kiwi and the fifth chapter mainly with organic kiwi processing, marketing and use. Finally,
reference to local fruit companies in Greece and abroad are referenced.. Aim of this work is twofold. On the one hand to present the organic cultivation and its
application to the kiwi plant and the presentation of knowledge used as a reference to promote research, to record conclusions and results. Apart from the theoretical aspect, I hope that conclusions of this work may serve to a better productive and commercial
future of kiwi. In Arta Prefecture
