Air Cargo – Μεταφορές Εμπορευμάτων (Bachelor thesis)

In the present dissertation, an attempt is made to present in detail the system of air transport goods worldwide and especially for Greece. The purpose is to record the basic concepts and characteristics of air carries for a better understanding of the whole spectrum of organization of the individual elements of air cargo transport processes, and other perspectives that open up for the future of air cargo.
Speccifically, this work is divided into 4 chapters. The first chapter deals with the generation and evolution of air transport. Additionally, in the same chapter it was considered necessary to present elements of the pandemic of COVID-19, which inflicted a huge blow on air carries. The second chapter presents the different modes of transport and analyzes comprehensively the advantages and disadvantages of each means. Then the third chapter is related to the bodies that control the airlines both in Europe and Greece. As far as the fourth chapter is concerned it describes the procedures applied to the ground aircraft service and the cargo handling and includes a reference to carries, whose actions and role are analyzed in the specific market standardization of the categories of contrainers used in air cargo. The goal of this chapter is to assimilate the structure of the air cargo. The last part of the dissertation examines the possibilities for the future and the problems that the space of air cargo will have to face.

| Abstract: | Στην παρούσα πτυχιακή γίνεται προσπάθεια να παρουσιαστεί αναλυτικά το σύστημα των αεροπορικών εμπορευματικών μεταφορών παγκοσμίως και ειδικότερα για την Ελλάδα . Σκοπός είναι η καταγραφή βασικών εννοιών και χαρακτηριστικών των αερομεταφορών για την όσο το δυνατόν κατανόηση όλου του φάσματος οργάνωσης των επιμέρους στοιχείων των διαδικασιών μεταφοράς air cargo, αλλά και από την άλλη των προοπτικών που ανοίγονται για το επερχόμενο μέλλον των αεροπορικών εμπορευματικών μεταφορών.
Συγκεκριμένα η εργασία χωρίζεται σε τέσσερα κεφάλαια. Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο γίνεται αναφορά στη γένεση και την εξέλιξη των αεροπορικών μεταφορών. Επίσης στο ίδιο κεφάλαιο θεωρήθηκε πρέπον να παρουσιαστούν στοιχεία της πανδημίας του κορωνοϊού, της τρέχουσας επικαιρότητας, που επέφερε τεράστιο πλήγμα στις αερομεταφορές. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο παρουσιάζονται οι διάφοροι τρόποι μεταφοράς εμπορευμάτων και αναλυόνται περιεκτικά τα πλεονεκτήματα και τα μειονεκτήματα κάθε μέσου, για να αναπτυχθεί στη συνέχεια η πρόταση του air cargo ως μέσο μεταφοράς με τα θετικά και τα αρνητικά της σημεία. Στη συνέχεια στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο γίνεται λόγος για τους φορείς που ελέγχουν τις αερομεταφορές τόσο στην Ευρώπη όσο και την Ελλάδα, για να ακολουθήσει στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο η περιγραφή των διαδικασιών που εφαρμόζονται στην επίγεια εξυπηρέτηση αεροσκαφών και τη διαχείρηση φορτίου, αναφορά στους διαμεταφορείς, των οποίων αναλύονται οι δράσεις και ο ρόλος στη συγκεκριμένη αγορά και διατύπωση των κατηγοριών των εμπορευματοκιβωτίων που χρησιμοποιούνται στις αεροπορικές εμπορευματικές μεταφορές. Στόχος αυτού του κεφαλαίου είναι η αφομοίωση της δομής του air cargo. Στο τελευταίο τμήμα της πτυχιακής εργασίας εξετάζονται οι δυνατότητες για το μέλλον και τα προβλήματα που θα χρειαστεί να αντιμετωπίσει ο χώρος των εμπορευματικών αερομεταφορών.
