Η συμβολή των αερομεταφορών στον τουρισμό: μελέτη περίπτωσης της περιφέρειας Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας (Master thesis)

This dissertation deals with the examination of the contribution of the aviation sector into tourism. In particular, we will study the case of the region of Central Macedonia. The first section as an introduction, of presents the contribution of tourism to the European and Greek economy. Simultaneously, presents the characteristics the Greek tourist product which are listed, as well as the historical background of the aviation sector in our country. The second section deals with the spread and development of air transport in recent years, as well as the supply and demand of air services. The third section lists the air transport issue in Europe and Greece and focuses on Greek companies and regional airports. The fourth section specializes in the study of the region of Central Macedonia, as a tourist destination in connection with the air transport and ground services that are provided. Finally, the fifth section presents the conclusions of the research and the critical analysis of the positive and negative characteristics of air transport section in the region of Central Macedonia as well as its further study in future.

| Abstract: | Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία αφορά την εξέταση της συμβολής του κλάδου των αερομεταφορών στον τουρισμό. Ειδικότερα θα μελετήσουμε την περίπτωση της περιφέρειας της Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας. Η πρώτη ενότητα ως εισαγωγική παρουσιάζει τη συμβολή του τουρισμού στην ευρωπαϊκή αλλά και την ελληνική οικονομία. Ταυτόχρονα, παρατίθενται τα χαρακτηριστικά του τουριστικού ελληνικού προϊόντος όπως και η ιστορική αναδρομή του κλάδου των αερομεταφορών στη χώρα μας. Η δεύτερη ενότητα αναφέρεται τόσο στην εξάπλωση και την ανάπτυξη των αερομεταφορών τα τελευταία χρόνια, όσο και στην προσφορά και στη ζήτηση των αεροπορικών υπηρεσιών.. Η τρίτη ενότητα παραθέτει τις αερομεταφορές στην Ευρώπη και στην Ελλάδα και εστιάζει στις ελληνικές εταιρείες και τα περιφερειακά αεροδρόμια. Η τέταρτη ενότητα εξειδικεύεται στη μελέτη της περιφέρειας της Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας, ως τουριστικός προορισμός σε συνάρτηση με τις αερομεταφορές και τις επίγειες υπηρεσίες που παρέχονται. Τέλος η πέμπτη ενότητα παρουσιάζει τα συμπεράσματα της έρευνας και την κριτική ανάλυση των θετικών και αρνητικών χαρακτηριστικών των αερομεταφορών της περιφέρειας της Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας όπως και τη μελλοντική περαιτέρω μελέτη της.
