In this degree there is a general introduction to the concept of sustainable development, to the objectives and the difficulties of its implementation. How it is achieved practically and actively while analyzing plans, actions and future implementation ideas in the urban sector of Greece. More specifically, the first chapter examines the concept of sustainable development, the reason for the ambiguity of this concept is explained and its basic principles and objectives are presented. Then, sustainability is linked to different sectors, such as natural resources, the environment and the primary production sector, the renewable energy sources, tourism, but also entrepreneurship. The core of this work, is the presentation and analysis of specific applications, that have already been implemented, but also the commentary of new ideas from the urban circle of a special city for the country, Thessaloniki.
