Στάσεις και απόψεις αγροτών του Νομού Κιλκίς για την ΚΑΠ 2015-2020 (Master thesis)

The agricultural sector is one of the most important sectors of employment in Greece, having been a key pillar of economic and social development for many years. The contribution of the agrifood sector in Greece is far greater than its contribution to the economies of European countries (Mardas & Kivrakidou, 2015). 52%. (Carabine, 2017). According to GDP 2015, it is ranked 45th largest economy in the world (World Bank Organization, 2016), while on the basis of its population size it is ranked 83rd worldwide (Worldmeters, 2016). According to the widely recognized Human Development Index (HDI), Greece ranks 29th on the list of the most developed countries in the world.
The European Union supports farmers by adopting an agricultural policy called the "Common Agricultural Policy". The aim is to ensure a decent standard of living for farmers and produce quality products for consumption, with emphasis on issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, soil quality and food safety. Greek farmers are financed both by the direct aid scheme in support of their income and by rural development program measures aimed at transforming farms, modernizing them and improving their competitiveness.

| Abstract: | Ο αγροτικός τομέας είναι από τους βασικότερους τομείς απασχόλησης στην Ελλάδα, αποτελώντας εδώ και πολλά χρόνια βασικό πυλώνα ανάπτυξης της οικονομίας και κοινωνίας . Η συμβολή του αγροτροφικού τομέα στην Ελλάδα είναι πολύ μεγαλύτερη από την αντίστοιχη συμμετοχή του στις οικονομίες των χωρών της Ευρώπης (Μαρδάς & Κιβρακίδου,2015).Η έκταση των βασικών αγροτικών περιοχών φτάνει στο 82% όταν στην Ευρώπη των 28 ο μέσος όρος δεν ξεπερνά το 52%. (Καραμπίνη, 2017). Βάσει του ΑΕΠ του 2015 κατατάσσεται στην 45η μεγαλύτερη οικονομία παγκοσμίως (World Bank Organisation, 2016), ενώ με βάση το πληθυσμιακό της μέγεθος βρίσκεται στην 83η θέση παγκοσμίως (Worldmeters, 2016) . Σύμφωνα με τον ευρέως αναγνωρισμένο δείκτη ανθρώπινης ανάπτυξης (HDI-Human Development Index) η Ελλάδα κατατάσσεται στην 29η θέση της λίστας των πιο αναπτυγμένων χωρών του κόσμου.
Η Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση στηρίζει τους αγρότες με τη θέσπιση της γεωργικής πολιτικής που ονομάζεται <<Κοινή Αγροτική Πολιτική>>. Η οποία αποσκοπεί στην εξασφάλιση αξιοπρεπούς βιοτικού επιπέδου για τους γεωργούς και την παραγωγή ποιοτικών προϊόντων προς κατανάλωση, δίνοντας έμφαση στα ζητήματα όπως η κλιματική αλλαγή, η απώλεια βιοποικιλότητας, η ποιότητα του εδάφους και η ασφάλεια των τροφίμων. Οι Έλληνες αγρότες χρηματοδοτούνται τόσο από το καθεστώς άμεσων ενισχύσεων ως στήριξη στο εισόδημα τους όσο και από τα μέτρα του προγράμματος αγροτικής ανάπτυξης που αποσκοπούν στο μετασχηματισμό των γεωργικών εκμεταλλεύσεων, τον εκσυγχρονισμό καθώς και τη βελτίωση της ανταγωνιστικότητας τους.
