The subject of the present thesis is archival description of the personal files of Thessaloniki Port Authority workers during the 20th century according to General International Standard of Archival Description - ISAD (G) - which provides instructions for the description of archives and the creation of standardized records.
The purpose of this thesis is on the one hand the creation of appropriate and explanatory descriptions to facilitate the recovery of information of port workers files and on the other hand the promotion and the assurance of the historical value of Thessaloniki Port Authority archives.
