Employee motivation today becomes more than an imperative both in companies, where satisfied employees offer the maximum with the ultimate goal of business profitability, and in public organizations, to which happy employees offer their turn. Quality and effective services to citizens. An important role in the motivation parameter is played by the person who is characterized as a team leader. He is not only responsible for achieving a goal, something for which he has been charged by the company but also for supporting and engaging with his colleagues and his work. Therefore, the leader today is as a subject of research of many studies related to business administration. The same work "does" and the present work which deals with leadership and motivation in the public hospital of Thessaloniki "Agios Pavlos".

| Abstract: | Η παρακίνηση του προσωπικού σήμερα καθίσταται κάτι παραπάνω από επιτακτική ανάγκη τόσο στις επιχειρήσεις, στις οποίες οι ικανοποιημένοι εργαζόμενοι προσφέρουν τα μέγιστα με τελικό σκοπό την κερδοφορία της επιχείρησης όσο και στους δημόσιους οργανισμούς, στους οποίους οι ευχαριστημένοι από την δουλειά τους υπάλληλοι προσφέρουν με τη σειρά τους ποιοτικές και αποτελεσματικές υπηρεσίες στους πολίτες. Σημαντικό ρόλο στην παράμετρο της παρακίνησης παίζει το άτομο που χαρακτηρίζεται ως ηγέτης μιας ομάδας. Αυτός είναι όχι μόνο υπεύθυνος για την επίτευξη ενός στόχου, κάτι για το οποίο έχει επιφορτιστεί από την επιχείρηση αλλά και για να στηρίζει και να ασχολείται με τους συναδέλφους του και τη δουλειά του. Ως εκ τούτου, ο ηγέτης σήμερα είναι σαν ένα αντικείμενο έρευνας πολλών μελετών που σχετίζονται με τη διοίκηση επιχειρήσεων. Το ίδιο «πράττει» και η παρούσα εργασία η οποία ασχολείται με την ηγεσία και παρακίνηση στο δημόσιο νοσοκομείο Θεσσαλονίκης «Άγιος Παύλος».
