In the present dissertation, a historical background and distinction of innovation is initially made, emphasizing school innovation. Then the application of innovations in the secondary schools of Pieria is investigated and how it is related to various sizes such as gender, years of service, additional qualifications of teachers, seminars and conferences attended. Then follow the conclusions and suggestions for its extension.

| Abstract: | Στην παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία γίνεται αρχικά ιστορική αναδρομή και διάκριση των καινοτομιών δίνοντας έμφαση στη σχολική καινοτομία. Στη συνέχεια διερευνάται η εφαρμογή καινοτομιών στα σχολεία δευτεροβάθμιας εκπαίδευσης του Ν. Πιερίας και πως αυτή συνδέεται με διάφορα μεγέθη όπως το φύλο , τα χρόνια υπηρεσίας , τα πρόσθετα προσόντα των εκπαιδευτικών , τα σεμινάρια και τα συνέδρια που παρακολούθησαν . Ακολουθούν τα συμπεράσματα της έρευνας και προτάσεις για την επέκτασή της.
