Πράσινη κοινότητα και ελαχιστοποίηση του διοξειδίου του άνθρακα (Bachelor thesis)

The goal of the current thesis is the presentation of the concept of a green community, the reasons behind the need to transition to such a model, & the challenges that will arise when implementing such models.
In parallel a survey was conducted to analyze the spread of information in the community regarding green communities. Questions include the underst&ing of basic principles of a green city, & what is currently implemented locally to limit carbon dioxide emissions.
In the first chapter, general scientific findings will be presented in regards to climate change over the past decades, as well as general definitions for the rest of the thesis.
In the second chapter, the origins of green communities will be reviewed & the theoretical methodologies surrounding a green city will be analyzed.
In the third chapter, practical models will be presented, based on which green cities can be built & developed.
Lastly, in the final chapter the survey will be presented. The scope of the survey was the spread of knowledge & documentation of current knowledge available regarding green communities & communities, & measures implemented in order to reduce carbon emissions.

| Abstract: | Ο στόχος αυτής της πτυχιακής εργασίας είναι η παρουσίαση της έννοιας της πράσινης κοινότητας, τους λόγους που οδηγούν στην ανάγκη μετάβασης σε ένα τέτοιο μοντέλο, και τις προκλήσεις που θα αντιμετωπίσει η εδραίωση των πράσινων κοινοτήτων.
Παράλληλα διεκπεραιώθηκε έρευνα μέσω ερωτηματολογίου για την ανάλυση του επιπέδου ενημέρωσης και της άποψης του πληθυσμού περί των πράσινων κοινοτήτων. Στο ερωτηματολόγιο περιλαμβάνονται ερωτήσεις για τις γενικές αρχές μιας πράσινης κοινότητας, και τι ήδη ακολουθείται στις περιοχές των ερωτηθέντων προς τη μείωση των εκπομπών διοξειδίου του άνθρακα.
Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο θα αναλυθούν γενικά επιστημονικά ευρήματα περί την κλιματική αλλαγή των τελευταίων δεκαετιών και γενικοί ορισμοί για την υπόλοιπη εργασία.
Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο θα γίνει αναδρομή στην προέλευση της πράσινης κοινότητας, και στη θεωρητική μεθοδολογία βάσει της οποίας μπορεί να αναπτυχθεί μια κοινότητα.
Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο θα αναλυθούν πρακτικά μοντέλα βάσει των οποίων μπορούν να εδραιωθούν και να αναπτυχθούν πράσινες κοινότητες.
Στο τέταρτο κεφάλαιο θα παρουσιαστεί η έρευνα που διεκπεραιώθηκε με στόχο την ενημέρωση, ανάλυση υπάρχουσας γνώσης, και τι έχει ήδη εφαρμοστεί ως προς τις πράσινες κοινότητες και τον περιορισμό εκπομπών του διοξειδίου του άνθρακα.
