Howard Gardner expressed the theory of multiple intelligence, which challenges the theory that intelligence is a single and stable parameter, but describes it as a multifactorial and multidimensional term. He distinguishes intelligence in eight different types, such as Linguistic-Verbal Intelligence, Logical-Mathematical Intelligence, Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence, Visual-Spatial Intelligence, Musical Intelligence, Interpersonal Intelligence, Intrapersonal Intelligence, Naturalistic Intelligence. According to Gardner, every person has all those types of intelligence, but developed in different percentages. This theory puts the student in the center and the way he learns better, and simultaneously pursues his multifactorial development, in a more efficient way. STEAM, this modern teaching approach, is working on the same frame. The term STEAM comes from Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. This particular teaching approach is based on the combination of several subjects, striving for the student’s cognitive and behavioral development. Therefore, STEAM works like the multiple intelligence approach, where different types of intelligence interact with each other. Modern research has proven the positive effect of STEAM in conquering knowledge and its contribution on the development of skill and multiple intelligence of the students. This study aims to describe the benefits and positive effects of STEAM-STEM activities and activities based on the multiple intelligence theory, on students. This study seeks to investigate if there is common components between STEAM-STEM and the multiple intelligence theory and describe them. The research is conducted by analyzing texts through the text- mining software “VOYANT Tools”.
