Without a doubt, we are facing a particularly critical moment regarding of the future of economy in European and national agricultural sector. The developments of recent years have a decisive effect on the agricultural sector. This paper will try to investigate particularly the funding of the agricultural sector, due its importance in the stimulation and development of the Greek economy.
Specifically, we would like to examine the contribution of state and European funding instruments in supporting agricultural production during the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. In order to draw some indicative conclusions, we collected data for the region of western Greece.
With the empirical analysis we carried out on our data, the situation in which agricultural employment is found after the measures to limit the repercussions of coronavirus became more definite. While the results showed that the producers have realized the main problems and obstacles that they have to overcome.
For the consolidation and revitalization of the agricultural sector, modernization and cooperation between farmers is necessary. The two of them combined with state and European support will succeed in creating a single production network that will make the Greek agricultural sector more competitive.

| Abstract: | Βρισκόμαστε αδιαμφισβήτητα σε μία ιδιαίτερα κρίσιμη στιγμή όσον αφορά το μέλλον της ευρωπαϊκής και εθνικής αγροτικής οικονομίας και πολιτικής. Οι εξελίξεις των τελευταίων χρόνων επηρεάζουν καθοριστικά τον αγροτικό τομέα. Η εργασία αυτή θέλει να διερευνήσει ιδιαίτερα την χρηματοδότηση του αγροτικού τομέα, λόγω της σημασίας που μπορεί να έχει στην τόνωση και στην ανάπτυξη της ελληνικής οικονομίας.
Σε πιο πρακτικό επίπεδο θέλουμε να εξετάσουμε τη συμβολή των κρατικών και ευρωπαϊκών μέσων χρηματοδότησης στη στήριξη της αγροτικής παραγωγής την περίοδο της εξάπλωσης της πανδημίας του κορονοϊού. Για να εξάγουμε κάποια ενδεικτικά συμπεράσματα συλλέξαμε στοιχεία για την περιφέρεια της δυτική Ελλάδας.

ε την εμπειρική ανάλυση που πραγματοποιήσαμε στα δεδομένα μας έγινε ξεκάθαρη η
κατάσταση στην οποία βρίσκεται η αγροτική απασχόληση μετά τα μέτρα για τον περιορισμό
του κορονοϊού . Και παράλληλα τα αποτελέσματα έδειξαν ότι οι παραγωγοί έχουν αντιληφθεί
τα κύρια προβλήματα και τα εμπόδια τα οποία πρέπει να ξεπεράσουν.
Για την εξυγίανση και την αναζωογόνηση του αγροτική τομέα είναι απαραίτητος ο εκσυγχρονισμός και η συνεργασία μεταξύ των αγροτών, τα οποία σε συνδυασμό με κρατική και ευρωπαϊκή στήριξη θα καταφέρουν να δημιουργήσουν ένα ενιαίο δίκτυο παραγωγής το οποίο θα καταστήσει τον ελληνικό αγροτικό τομέα πιο ανταγωνιστικό Without a doubt, we are facing a particularly critical moment regarding of the future of economy in European and national agricultural sector.
