Η υιοθέτηση και η συμβολή των υπηρεσιών του υπολογιστικού νέφους στις επιχειρήσεις (Master thesis)

This study dealt with the issue of adoption and contribution of cloud computing and was completed through four chapters. Initially, information regarding the subject under study was mentioned in the introduction. Cloud computing is the most popular choice among people who need more storage space and the businesses which looking for an effective offsite data backup solution. It was emphasized that cloud computing removes the difficulty involved in processing data away from the device a user owns or works on. Then there was talk of cloud computing services in businesses but also in various industries such as healthcare and education.
Research was conducted to study the degree of adoption of cloud computing by companies, the provider and reasons for engagement, the classification, cloud computing and the concerns of companies from the use. The research concluded that the use of cloud computing reduces IT costs and at the same time offers new business opportunities.
Finally, the support from the provider and other commercial partners is sufficient to create a cloud computing infrastructure according to the needs of the company and that cloud computing is important from the point of view of competitive advantage for the business.

| Abstract: | Η παρούσα μελέτη ασχολήθηκε με το ζήτημα της υιοθέτησης και της συμβολής του υπολογιστικού νέφους και ολοκληρώθηκε μέσα από τέσσερα κεφάλαια. Aρχικά, αναφέρθηκαν στην εισαγωγή στοιχεία αναφορικά με το υπό μελέτη θέμα. Το υπολογιστικό νέφος αποτελεί ολοένα και περισσότερο την πιο δημοφιλή επιλογή των ατόμων που χρειάζονται μεγαλύτερο χώρο αποθήκευσης καθώς και των επιχειρήσεων που αναζητούν μια αποτελεσματική λύση δημιουργίας αντιγράφων ασφαλείας δεδομένων εκτός τοποθεσίας. Τονίστηκε ότι το cloud computing απομακρύνει τη δυσκολία που συνεπάγεται η επεξεργασία δεδομένων μακριά από τη συσκευή που διαθέτει ή εργάζεται ένας χρήστης. Έπειτα έγινε λόγος για τις υπηρεσίες υπολογιστικού νέφους στις επιχειρήσεις αλλά και σε διάφορους κλάδους όπως την υγειονομική περίθαλψη και την εκπαίδευση.
Έτσι, πραγματοποιήθηκε έρευνα προκειμένου να μελετήσει τον βαθμό υιοθέτησης του υπολογιστικού νέφους από τις εταιρείες, τον πάροχο και τους λόγους ενασχόλησης, την ταξινόμηση, το υπολογιστικού νέφους και τους προβληματισμούς των εταιρειών από την χρήση. Η έρευνα συμπερασματικά κατέληξε στο ότι η χρήση του υπολογιστικού νέφους μειώνει τα έξοδα πληροφορικής και παράλληλα προσφέρει νέες επιχειρηματικές ευκαιρίες.
Τέλος η υποστήριξη από τον πάροχο και άλλους εμπορικούς εταίρους είναι επαρκής για τη δημιουργία μιας υποδομής υπολογιστικού νέφους σύμφωνα με τις ανάγκες της εταιρείας και ότι το υπολογιστικό νέφος είναι σημαντικό από την άποψη του ανταγωνιστικού πλεονεκτήματος για την επιχείρηση.
