It is true that in today's scientific community, where the abundance of information and knowledge has flooded the world wide web, the need to present, document, and clarify the primary sources of every scientific and research work becomes imperative. In this light, the creation of bibliographic models is also based on the use of which ensures the intellectual property and rights of the author while at the same time, they protect against the phenomenon of plagiarism. As is well known, there is a multitude of bibliographic models available that vary, correlate, and are addressed accordingly to each scientific discipline without necessarily being binding. In this work, we will examine through a thorough research in 240 scientific journals in the field of library and information science, the bibliographic standards that were used in the period of the last three years, the set of preferences of the standards of the authors, the way to in which each template presents the information that constitutes the access point for locating the respective article.
