Economic growth and technology development, new trends in modern consumer society, changes in shopping habits, eating habits and awareness of the environment and natural resources have formed markets for agricultural products outside of conventional agriculture. In recent years we talk more and more about Sustainable Agriculture. The purpose of this master's thesis, in the first general - theoretical part, is to study the concepts of Sustainability, Sustainable Development and to refer to the main cultivation systems, Conventional Agriculture, Organic Agriculture and Integrated Management. In the second special part, using SPSS statistical analyses, the research is analyzed. Quantitative research, primary, descriptive, and correlational, between and within the groups, has been conducted exploratory, using Likert scale questionnaires. The results of the research are presented, and the corresponding conclusions are formulated. Regarding the sample of the research, it consists of 73 farmers of the Prefecture of Serres who submitted their views on Integrated Management and Organic Agriculture in Sustainable Development. Their views were captured using a questionnaire prepared for the present research of the master's thesis. The main results obtained from the statistical processing, record that: 1. Regarding the cultivation, the vast majority cultivates Conventional Cultivation as it has a high yield and considers that the agricultural sector plays an important role in the development of their prefecture. 2. Their views about the advantages of Integrated Management and Organic Agriculture were studied and it was concluded that their advantages are largely recognized, whereas natural disadvantages of organic farming exist to a large extent especially when compared to conventional ones that have low yield, high costs and cultivation problems. 3. The majority agreed that the development of the agricultural sector can conform to the protection and sustainability of the environment. Research has shown that Organic Farming and Integrated Management can be sustainable for a farmer, and that there is a consumer interest in organic and integrated management products.

| Abstract: | Η οικονομική ανάπτυξη και η εξέλιξη στη τεχνολογία, οι νέες τάσεις της σύγχρονης καταναλωτικής κοινωνίας, η αλλαγή στις αγοραστικές, διατροφικές συνήθειες και η ευαισθητοποίηση για το περιβάλλον και τους φυσικούς πόρους διαμόρφωσαν αγορές αγροτικών προϊόντων εκτός της Συμβατικής Γεωργίας. Τα τελευταία χρόνια ακούμε να γίνεται ιδιαίτερος λόγος για τη Αειφορική Γεωργία.
Σκοπός της παρούσας μεταπτυχιακής διατριβής, στο πρώτο γενικό - θεωρητικό μέρος, είναι να μελετηθούν οι έννοιες της Αειφορίας, της Βιώσιμης Ανάπτυξης και να γίνει αναφορά στα κυριότερα συστήματα καλλιέργειας, τη Συμβατική Γεωργία, τη Βιολογική Γεωργία και την Ολοκληρωμένη Διαχείριση.
Στο δεύτερο ειδικό μέρος, με τη χρήση στατιστικών αναλύσεων SPSS, γίνεται η ανάλυση της έρευνας. Έχει διεξαχθεί μία ποσοτική έρευνα, πρωτογενής, περιγραφική και συσχέτισης, μεταξύ και εντός των ομάδων, διερευνητική, με χρήση ερωτηματολογίων κλίμακας Likert. Τα αποτελέσματα της έρευνας παρουσιάζονται και διατυπώνονται τα ανάλογα συμπεράσματα.
Όσον αφορά το δείγμα της έρευνας, αποτελείται από 73 αγρότες του Νομού Σερρών οι οποίοι κατέθεσαν τις απόψεις τους σχετικά με την Ολοκληρωμένη Διαχείριση και τη Βιολογική Γεωργία στη Βιώσιμη Ανάπτυξη. Οι απόψεις τους αποτυπώθηκαν με τη χρήση ερωτηματολογίου που συντάχτηκε για την παρούσα έρευνα της μεταπτυχιακής διατριβής.
Τα κυριότερα αποτελέσματα που προέκυψαν από τη στατιστική επεξεργασία, καταγράφουν ότι:
1. Αναφορικά με την καλλιέργεια, η συντριπτική πλειοψηφία καλλιεργεί Συμβατική Καλλιέργεια καθώς έχει υψηλή απόδοση και θεωρεί πως ο γεωργικός τομέας παίζει σημαντικό ρόλο στην ανάπτυξη του νομού τους.
2. Μελετήθηκαν οι απόψεις τους για να πλεονεκτήματα της Ολοκληρωμένης Διαχείρισης και της Βιολογικής Γεωργίας από όπου προέκυψε ότι τα πλεονεκτήματά τους αναγνωρίζονται σε μεγάλο βαθμό, ενώ φυσικά μειονεκτήματα της βιολογικής καλλιέργειας υπάρχουν σε μεγάλο βαθμό καθώς σε σχέση με τις συμβατικές έχουν χαμηλή απόδοση, υψηλό κόστος και καλλιεργητικά προβλήματα. 3. Η πλειοψημία συμφώνησε ότι η ανάπτυξη του γεωργικού τομέα μπορεί να συμβαδίζει με την προστασία και την αειφορία του περιβάλλοντος. Η έρευνα έδειξε ότι η Βιολογική Γεωργία και η Ολοκληρωμένη Διαχείριση μπορεί να είναι βιώσιμη για έναν γεωργό, καθώς και ότι υπάρχει ενδιαφέρον για τους καταναλωτές για προϊόντα βιολογικά και ολοκληρωμένης διαχείρισης.
